I just downloaded the bootable ISO image of TrueImage 2012 (and 2011) and burnt the ISO to a CDROM and then tried to boot from it but it doesn't work. License key for ez check printing. The message I get is as follows:

I've tried this on a couple machines, both the 2012 and 2011 versions do the same thing. Am I doing something wrong or is there a problem with the ISO image?

If you are trying to use either of these two versions on a newer system that has UEFI firmware and has Secure Boot enabled they will not boot.

Most new Windows 8 64 bit systems now have UEFI firmware (instead of BIOS firmware) and must have Secure boot enabled by the manufacturer. Empire total war mac download.

In your firmware settings, if you disable Secure Boot, you may be able to boot to the 2012 disk, but I'm not sure about the 2011 version.

In addition to disabling Secure Boot, if your firmware allows you to change your firmware to Legacy BIOS mode (or CSM boot mode) both of the disks should work (providing they support your hardware).

You will be able to backup and restore from the disks, but you MUST return your system back to the original settings before booting to the hard disk again.

Both 2012 and 2011 do not support Windows 8, but can image and restore from the 2012 and 2011 bootable media (not supported by Acronis though).

Thanks for the reply James - The system(s) I've tried are not the UEFI firmware, I even tried on a machine several years old with no success.

I use http://www.imgburn.com to burn my ISO files to CD/DVD and can't seem to recall a problem such as yours.

Since this is happening on multiple machines, I can only guess that issue is with the burning software and or CD/DVD disks you are using.

If you wish, you can use YUMI http://www.pendrivelinux.com/yumi-multiboot-usb-creator to create a bootable USB Flash drive and have it boot directly to the ISO files.

I would suggest that you take the ISO(s) (or download new copies) to a different system and create the disk(s) from there.

Good suggestion. I actually read yesterday in an older post with similar problems that I'm experiencing of a person suggesting to use Windows 7 built in burning to create the CD from the ISO image. I tried this yesterday, created a new CD using Windows 7's built in burning software and what do you know, boots up perfectly.

That could have been one of my posts. I often recommend using Windows 7's built-in ISO burning, as it removes the need for a user to have to download and figure out a new utility. Glad to hear it worked for you.
